Why my auto-rate import doesn't work?

Periodically there are problems in the process of auto-importing of rate sheets and the auto-import tasks have the status Failed. In this topic you will find a way to investigate the problem and find the cause of the error.

The first thing to remember is that there must be a configured rule in the Administration/Email processing rules interface, you can find detailed instructions in our topic.

Once you have made sure that the Email processing rule is configured, you need to run a check on the following steps:

1. Does the auto-import rule match the parameters received in the email?
You can check this in the SMS/Rates/Auto rate import interface in the Simulation tab.

In this interface in each field you need to enter the exact values from the email (recheck space symbols in the end and beginning of entered parameters, sometimes it can be the reason if you don't use wildcard symbols in masks) with the rate sheet and then click Run. If the rule is not found, you should remove one field at a time and run simulation again until the rule is found.

This will allow you to understand which parameter of the email does not match the rule, which will allow you to change the rule correctly.

2. If the letter and file match the rule parameters, you should check the import for critical errors that prevent successful auto-import.
In this case it is recommended to manually run the import and check the 'Errors' table at the bottom of the interface. Errors from this table should be compared with critical auto import errors that fails import. You can find them in the SMS/Auto rate import interface on the Error type levels tab. If you find such an error in the list of critical errors, you can exclude it by unchecking the corresponding checkbox. Please note that excluding the error from the list will affect all imported rates, i.e. this error will not be triggered for all products.

In case you have done all the steps above and haven't found the cause, you can contact the support. When contacting us, please provide us with Email processing rule ID, Auto rate import ID and the name of the file that should have been imported
