Max and Average TPS

If it is required to get data regarding MPS, you can use the following default reports, available in the Start/Reports interface:

  • MPS per vendor(SMS)
You can find detailed description of this report in our manual.
  • MPS per client (SMS)
The same logic as the previous example, but for the client side.
  • MPS per source number (SMS)
Same logic as the two options above, but the data is analyzed for Sender ID.

But we should note that it is only possible to get the requests per second data from raw EDRs. This imposes restrictions on the time period possible for analysis. Specific numbers depend on the traffic processed during this time, but most often a period of several hours, maximum days, is suitable for use. This is because too much data needs to be analyzed, grouped and calculated.

As for the average number of requests over a longer period (for example, a month), it can be obtained from the analytical cubes, available in the Start/SMS/Analytics interface, by applying the following formula:
Amount of attempts in the analytics / (X·24·60·60), where X: number of days in the required month.
Also, if it is required to get MPS for the different layer (for example - different MCCMNCs, or different countries) -  you can provide us with an example and description of the report logic (necessary columns and the logic of their calculation / filters). And we will prepare a new custom report.

If you want to have graphs with Average or Max TPS - you can submit a TT to support and provide the code BZ37895.

As for the maximum number of requests over a longer period (for example, a month), we can obtain this information from our monitoring systemHowever, these metrics are available for 2nd generation switch. If you have you have a 3 generation switch installed, it allows you to process a larger amount of traffic, managing 2nd generation switches.
But the values of these metrics are stored only for the last half a year, so the maximum calculation will contain values for each of the 2nd generation switches for the last half a year.
