Since the System constantly receives new traffic, it is necessary to set the parameters by which analytical cubes built on this traffic will be calculated. The following System settings (/Start/Administration/System settings) are responsible for the logic of analytical cubes calculation:
- Stats calculation threshold determines after reaching what amount of traffic the cube will be recalculated.
- Stats calculation delay determines how long the system waits after the end of a minute/hour/day/week/month/year to recalculate the cube, even if the required value from Stats calculation threshold has not been reached yet.
Let's take an example: Stats calculation threshold (EDR/min) is set to 5. Stats calculation delay, minutes (min) is set to 1. For one minute from 13:00 to 13:01 4 SMS were received. This is not enough to cover the Stats calculation threshold (EDR/min) setting, so the System waits one more minute, and if there are no more SMS, starts cube recalculation at 13:02.
Note that the Auto threshold calculation setting (0 - no, 1 - yes) should be enabled by default, according to which the cubes are recalculated automatically.
In order to determine what values fit the System for the Stats calculation threshold, there are the following formulas:
| Minutes | arithmetic average of attempts per minute |
| Hours | arithmetic average of attempts per 20 minutes |
| Days | arithmetic average of attempts per 3 hours |
| Weeks | arithmetic average of attempts for a day |
| Months | arithmetic average of attempts per day multiplied by two |
| Hours | arithmetic average of attempts for 20 minutes divided by 50 |
It is necessary to change these settings with extreme caution, as recalculating cubes too often can cause problems on the Database. In case you need to receive the most up-to-date data, we recommend you to enable SMS statistics telescopic mode in Start/Administration/System settings. One-time use of the mod is possible in /Start/SMS or Voice/Analytics interface (available only if the user has the Telescopic mode permission granted):
