5-digit MCCMNC Configuration

When exporting rates, a need may arise to translate 6-digit MCCMNCs into 5-digit codes if the MNC starts with 0. For example, if the 6-digit MCCMNC code is 202002, the 5-digit code would be 20202. In this case, the SMS/Rates/Rate export/Column settings page will be useful.

To configure sending a 5-digit MCCMNC for a specific partner, please create a product preset for the required partner in the upper panel of the tab sheet, and then specify which columns should be exported in the lower panel of the tab sheet selecting column MCCMNC5 instead of MCCMNC.

Example (5-digit MCCMNC Configuration):

It is also recommended to check the system setting List of MCCs with 3-digit MNCs (Administration/System settings/SMS rates). If an MCC is in the list, then even if you select the MCCMNC5 column in Column settings, the 6-digit MCCMNC for the corresponding MCC will be exported. The list can be changed from your side based on the requirements.

You can learn more about the system setting in our article.
