How to create a new Invoice template

You can customize a template for almost any e-mails that are sent to partners from the System. This can be done in the /Start/Administration/Template manager interface. Let's try to create a template for a client invoice.

1) First we need to prepare the template itself. Let's refer to the article from our user's guide that lists all available markers for different templates: Templates and markers. Please note that markers of one type of template may not work correctly if they are inserted into another type of template. In addition to markers, any text, tables and contract company logo can be added to the template.

2) Create an .xlsx file:

Make sure that the template does not exceed the size of an A4 sheet using the /File/Print/Fit Sheet on One Page option:

3) Enter the /Start/Administration/Template manager interface and click on Add template in the bottom right corner. In the right grid select the parameters that you need and load the file with the previously created template using the Browse button:

4) In order to check whether the invoice has been applied, enter the /Start/Finance/Invoices and recalculate an old invoice of the client to which we linked the template.

If you don't have such a client invoice, you can create a Receivable zero Charge in the /Start/Finance/Charges interface.

5) Download the recalculated invoice and make sure the template is applied.

6) In case you also want to include Traffic details in the invoice so that you don't send them as a separate file, you can use markers that start with "[ChargeDet", e.g. [ChargeDetAmount], [ChargeDetRate], [ChargeDetVolume].

7) Finally, create an Invoice letter as a template for the email.

You can create any template using the same method. In case you have problems creating a template, please submit a ticket and provide the template file, Account and Product IDs and the Invoice Reference number.
