In order to upload new rates into the system, it is necessary to specify the start and end dates of these rates. Sometimes partners send files in which the necessary dates are already specified, and you just need to parse them in the Start/SMS or Voice/Rates/Rate import interface. However, sometimes the date format varies between partners and the system needs to know exactly how to parse them. There is a Date format parameter intended for this purpose:
Among the default formats, you can find the following options:
| Date format | Date examples from rate sheets |
| DD MON YYYYY HH24:MI:SS | December 1, 2023 00:00:00 |
| DD.MM.YYYY HH24:MI:SS | 01.12.2023 00:00:00 |
| MM.DD.YY HH24:MI:SS | 01.12.23 00:00:00 |
| YYYY.MM.DD.YY HH24:MI:SS | 2023.12.01 00:00:00 |
| There are also some less common options: | |
| MON DD YYYYY HH12:MI AM | MAY 01 2023 03:00:00 AM |
| YYYY-MM-DD"T"HH24:MI:SS | 2023-05-01"T"15:00:00 |
| YY-Mon-DD"T"HH24:MI:SS"+00:00" | 23-May-01"T"15:00:00"+00:00" |
| MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS | 12/01/2023 00:00:00 |
| YYYY.MM.DD'@'HH24:MI:SS | 2023.12.01@09:00:00 |
| YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS" UTC" | 2023-05-01 00:00:00 UTC |
| MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS "+0000" | 12/01/2023 00:00:00 +0000 |
| Mon DD YYYYY HH12:MI AM | May 01 2023 03:00 AM |
The new formats should be added manually:
If you use Auto rate import (Start/SMS or Voice/Rates/Auto rate import), the required format must be saved in the preset bound to the Auto rate import rule:
Presets are created and saved on the rate parsing page in Start/SMS or Voice/Rates/Rate import/Upload/Continue:
In case the provided date options don't work for you, please try creating your own format similar to the existing ones, using quotation marks for extra characters. If you still need help, kindly submit a ticket and provide the Alaris Support team with the file you are trying to upload, the Rate import TASK and the Auto rate import rule if you have one.
